Polyamide or sometime called Nylon is semi-crystalline polymer and one of the most used thermoplastics because of its advantages such as high strength, high stiffness, fatigue and creep resistance, good abrasion, high heat, and very good chemical resistance. Anyway, it’s disadvantages are moisture absorption, warpage, and shrinkage. Typical polyamide that mostly used are PA6, PA66. However, there’re other types of polyamides that improves its disadvantage such as PA46, PA612, PA610, PA6I, PPA.
